Festival “Boldino autumn”
The only festival of Opera and ballet art, devoted to A. S. Pushkin on the right carries a great symbolic name and is held at the Nizhny Novgorod land, because here in the Pushkin family estate, where Alexander came in 1830, in 1933 and 1934, there was a poetic miracle that gave the world Boldino fall of the great poet.
“The idea of Pushkin’s beautiful music festival. Its name is also justified, as Boldin is associated one of the brightest periods of Pushkin. It is difficult to imagine a Russian musical culture without Pushkin. I want to wish the new festival of good fortune, because these musical feasts in any form impulsebuy the interest of the viewer, the listener” — admonished “Boldino autumn” party of the first festival (1986) people’s artist of Russia, conductor of the Bolshoi theatre Fuat Mansurov.
“I think the festival “Boldino autumn” is destined to live long, for inexhaustible works of Pushkin, which formed the basis of already written pieces of music. And many of Pushkin’s stories can be the basis for the creation of new operas and ballets. Any reading of Pushkin — a good brand, half successful, the pilot still has much to offer, especially for people involved in theatre, art lovers”, — Nikolay Alas, Professor, honored worker of arts of Russia.
“We are not divided within the CIS or something else, Pushkin is not divided, he is our common. He’s the soul of all of us, but he is above us — the phenomenon of the cosmic order. With these thoughts I went to Boldin scene, I go for Boldin earth, these same thoughts are filled every time touch his creativity” — Anatoly Solovyanenko, people’s artist of the UssR.

Not by chance in the repertoire of the Decade, dedicated to the memory of the poet and held in the second season, already included the Opera “Eugene Onegin”, “mermaid” and “Boris Godunov”.
